I've been told... | Indianapolis IN Boudoir Photographer

I’ve been told I don’t shoot boudoir and I don’t know if it’s true. But I find boudoir and women’s sexuality pretty fluid. You make it what you want. It’s your own version of “sexy”. There are no rules. There are people that don’t want to be sexy. They just want to feel elevated from their current situation and if they feel like they can achieve that through a turtle neck and underwear, that’s fine.

They want to do something for themselves. They want to see photos of themselves naked and be reintroduced to themselves at a certain weight, age, gender. Empowerment photography doesn’t fully cover it. It’s more explorative and therapeutic, not an object for their partner’s gaze. Women are seeing themselves as these versions for the first time when they come in for a session with me. I sit with them, we laugh, we cry, and sometimes they have breakthroughs.

We encourage you to grab a glass of wine or sparkling cider, hang out for awhile, and check out more that the blog has to offer!
